Allow capture of time estimate and start date, compute finish date.
I understand your separation of WBS from project plan, BUT time duration and dates and therefore end/start date dependency is often more important than cost. For an example, see PC app WBS Chart Pro. What you have is a great start in that direction.
Replied the use for discussion.

I’m referring to this old thread not to open too many new threads.
In WBS you provide a target date. When sending the WBS file to QuickPlan I see all my work packages with the appropriate target date and a duration of 1 day.
If I add the duration >1 to my work packages the target date jumps to the future. I would have expected that the start date jumps backwards, target date minus duration and the target date remains as set in WBS.Regards

Of cause, it's better to have more functionalities - we are considering to add some empty columns for the users to use them freely.
But I'd like to emphasize here the percent is not the scope of WBS
About WORK for the comments:
WORK is not TASK, normally a work item may be a delivery, or may be a HIGH LEVEL of WORK, or may be something else.
Even a WORK is HIGH LEVEL of WORK (do we make sure your team members has no concern about it? do we make sure high level tasks can be finalized before bid?), do we really need to report project status via WORK? if we really need, we have the project plan and schedule, then why not to show the status of the plan?

Target data is already there which is really useful. Adding percent complete will be really really awesome feature.

At least adding project status will be really helpful and we can use this for status reporting on large project

Hello,
WORK is NOT same as TASK, WBS is not PROJECT PLAN. Give an example, in our WBS, we may define a work "security", this work may be related to many tasks later. Works and Tasks may have many to many relationships.
WBS is WBS, other apps may do more than WBS, and some users wants to extend WBS for more work - it make sense, but we can't lost focus.
Actually we may are not asking to extend WBS, we just NEED A PROJECT SCHEDULE APP with an UI which IS SIMILAR as our WBS, more details, some users may found the tree structure is very good and like to use it for schedule. There are some ways to schedule project:
- Schedule in a list (like using Excel)
- Schedule in Gantt chart (like most schedule apps do)
- Schedule in a task tree (we may talk about it)So we may finding an app for project schedule, the user interface may be like Mobilinked WBS, to schedule tasks in a tree diagram.
Mobilinked WBS is for the work breakdown structure, the step in the project manage process is much more earlier than project schedule in the project management process.

I wanted to follow up on this item. I agree with this post from 18 months ago. The added feature of the task duration, in the WBS format would be a big help.
