  1. Version for Mac

Love the app. I'd love to use it on a Mac with a larger display. Any thoughts on this?

  3. WBS <> Gantt

    Great work!

Users would like to sync the WBS with Gantt to seamlessly plan/maintain the project scope and schedule.

I just bought your Gantt and your WBS apps.

With the announced feature in iOS 8 to have apps share functionality, it seems obvious the having these apps share functionality would be a game changer.

    Good luck!

  4. In chart view display hour & or resource name

At the moment it seems like you can only display cost which is good. But I'd like to be able to show who is responsible for the task and how many hours the task will take. Other than that I like the App it is simple to use and quite powerful. My iPAD has crashed twice since loading the app but at the moment I'm sure it is the cause.

    Thanks

NORMALLY!, the process of a project is: … → Breakdown Work (estimation) → SOW (contract) → High level plan → Schedule → executing and report → …
    - WBS is for work breaking down, the project team will use it to evaluate the estimate, time and resources needs for contract.
    - WBS is NOT to assign resource and plan the efforts
    - WBS work is NOT same as project task ( there are many methods to break down work, for example by delivery, a delivery will NOT be same as a task)
    - WBS can be a good reference for later planning, but the work in the WBS is not the list of the tasks when planning
That means WBS is not the step to maintain the schedule (the relationship of task, time and resource)

    but NATURALLY,
    - people like the way WBS do to report project status…

  5. Better integration

Reflect updates of WBS in existing QuickPlan and vice versa

    Hello,

Thank you for the idea. Would you please help to check following my comments?

The data created by the users using WBS and QuickPlan apps are stored on the devices of the users, for security consideration, we have no server to store the data created by the users. And according to the iOS security design, there is no way for an iOS app to access the file of another app directly.

It’s possible for your idea to have the “better integration” if store all the user’s data on our server, but this will be another business – expansive much more like to charge by month, not easy to use as need to sync to different files every time when the user update one file.

  7. More Choices/Categories for the Estimate Costs

Having the ability to break down costs between Labor and Materials is great, but it would be even better if you could add more categories such as Equipment to the list. Or maybe even allow users to add or change these themselves.

If there is already a way to do this please let me know.

    Great app!

    Thanks for the idea.

There is no dependency information in WBS work item, I am wondering how to convert WBS to the dependency diagram. Would you please help to provide more details about your idea?

Thanks so much for your idea / comments. Can you please give me a little more context on the idea here, and send over the details about font size suggest, I’d like to know what part font size is smaller for you, and think about the solution. An interface to change font size is a choice, but I do think no need to make the app be that complicated.

    Best regards,

  12. Can you insert dependence activity like FS-FF-SS-SF

To understand logical progress when is a time to make WBS is best to mark relations from activity.

    This is possible ?

We have developed WBS to break down the work and make a simple estimate.

Some users may want to use it to manage project tasks easily like a project planning app and think our WBS app can be extended as a project planning app.

However, our purpose is not the same. And a work in WBS is not the same as a task in the project plan:

    - A work can be a delivery

    - A work can be a task

    - A work can be something else

WBS is a simple application for work breakdown.

    Br,

    Philip

  13. Allow capture of time estimate and start date, compute finish date.

I understand your separation of WBS from project plan, BUT time duration and dates and therefore end/start date dependency is often more important than cost. For an example, see PC app WBS Chart Pro. What you have is a great start in that direction.

    Thank you for the idea.

Before we can get the app localized, if you face the problem to use the app caused by the language, would you please contact us, our support team will work with you for the details?

Our design principle is to make the app be easy for use, we thought the language does not impact the users much – to balance the app price and usability.

  15. Adding photo attachments

It would be great to attach photos to items.

Also, the ability to customize what the Excel document exports.

Thank you for such a useful app.

  19. Different Rates by Name

Great App. It would be great if you could define different rates for departments instead of putting in $ values. For example: Define the hourly rate for engineering as 90$ . When I add an engineering task I could just choose " Engineering" and the hourly rate would be adjusted to 90$.
    Thanks Chris

    Thank you for the idea.

WBS supports to change the charge rate (“by input”) of a WORK GROUP, after changed the rate of a group, the sub-work’s charge rate will change to the same. Would you please help to check if you can use this approach.

WBS is used at the very early phase of a project (normally before project kick-off), at that time, normally the project team is not ready, and the charge rate is rough (or available) for estimate purpose.

If you are working on project schedule (for planning and also for the accurate cost calculate), I’d suggest you to try the project schedule app QuickPlan.

    Best Regards,

    Philip

    Hello,

    Thanks for the idea.

WBS is for work break down and estimate. NORMALLY, there are more steps before the PM can assign tasks to the people – such as high level plan → project schedule → actions.

WBS provides a function to export WBS data as a project plan (to Quickplan, our another app).

It will be useful to convert WBS as a todo list (or save to ios calendar), but as this is not common, we need to think about if it’s worth to be added.

    Br,

    Mobilinked
